Science is rational, practical and most of the time, unchangeable. It is a stiff form of study and research, circling around theories, and assumptions. Most of all, science is logical. However, problems faced by us are many a times as unexpected as human nature is, and our emotions , behaviours and our environment that is filled with other unpredictable humans, are hardly ever exactly the same, and change from time to time. Our future and behaviours are not set in stone, and unforeseen complications and changes in circumstance thus might occur at any time. Scientific breakthroughs manifest from hard evidence, and problems faced by man are solved a lot of times by involving the complex human emotions. Although some might state that science might sometimes solve mankind's problems, such as in the medical area, science cannot solve problems that Man face in their daily lives; healing the broken hearted, the paying of expenses by the poor , the recovery of a drug addict, or getting over a lost loved one. These are just some things science and logic can never solve. Therefore, science solves certain problems, but definitely not all of them.

Does science solve all of mankind's problems?
To me, the answer is a definite no! If science could solve all problems, why is there still no world peace? Some may say that science can solve problems such as poverty and diseases, and the power of science is indeed magnificent when it comes to making breakthroughs in technology and research, but yet at the same time, there are still so many problems that cannot be solved with science. For example, science cannot solve religious problems, political upheaval and issues related to terrorism and crime. In fact, science is the main reason behind war. Humans make use of science to create weapons and further improvise them. With more of such opportunities, humans continue to get involved in war due to various problems, resulting in hundreds of millions of death. This cycle will never end if science does not put a stop to it. If science could solve all problems, wars and conflicts would not have occurred. Thus, science does not solve all of mankind's problems.

We feel that science is not able to solve all our problems. Yes, science is an essential aspect in many parts of our lives, but the extent of which it can help us is very little. Take human emotion for example, though machines can deduce our emotions through the heartbeat and other ways, in the end they cannot comprehend fully what complex thoughts one has in their minds, and thus when emotional breakdowns occur, science cannot do anything to cure it as it is unable to properly read the unstable human emotion. Therefore science cannot solve all our problems.

LUCIA & XINNI

In our opinion, we do not believe that science solves all of mankind's problems. Science enable us to gain the knowledge of what the problem is, but seldom gets rid of the problem for us. For example, science tell us that regular exercising can help decrease the chances of having heart disease, but science doesn't help us to prevent heart disease. It is up to us to exercise regularly to prevent heart disease. This shows that only humans can solve our own problems. Science may tell us how to solve it, but in the end, it is only up to us. Only we can decide whether to do something to solve the problem. Another example is of global warming. Through science, human realize that there is global warming and the harm it brings to earth. This situation is irreversible and we only lessen the damage. But science does not help us to lessen the damage. It tells us how to do it, but doesn't reduce the damage. It is only up to mankind to decide whether or not to lessen the damage on earth. Therefore, we believe that science does not help to solve our problems because although it tells us how to solve the problem, in the end, only we humans can solve the problem ourselves.

Does Science solve all of our problems?

Science has help to create many inventions which solves most problems. However, it cannot solve all of our problems. Through Science, people have already came up with many different types of medicines and vaccinations to protect us from many deadly diseases, but this have yet to completely solve all our problems. Moreover, it creates further complications. With Scientific knowledge, people have yet to come up with a type of medicine which can help to combat deadly cancer or cancer in its last stages. In our modern society, cancer is a prevalent problem that affects many people. The symptoms for cancer are sometimes negligible, and thus, there will be a number of people who do not realise that they have cancer until the last stages. Until then, there will be a very little chance of even having any cure for them. Lung cancer is a terminal cancer that takes up almost 30% of all cancer deaths. Also, with the creation of many drugs, there are people who will gradually start taking drugs and start an addiction to drugs. Being addicted to drugs will cause many problems for the person's health and social life, thus creating more problems for the person instead of the original purpose of the drug which is supposed to combat the disease.  Therefore, Science cannot solve all our problems as cancer is still one of the major enigma in our modern society.

Does science solve all mankind's problems?
Science do not solve all mankind's problems.
Science cannot make us feel happy. Science do not control our feelings. Only we can control the way the way we feel, science do not have the power to control us as we are the ones who created and control science. If we feel unhappy, we will not become happier because of a new gadget, we can only be happy if we choose to.
Therefore science cannot solve the problem of unhappiness.

does science solve all of mankind's problems?

No, it does not. Even though the advance in science/technology has proven useful in making lives much easier and increasing efficiency in many areas of work, it has also created many new fundamental problems in our society. For example, phones now allow long distance communication; however, their introduction, especially of smartphones, have resulted in the degradation of social skills and an increasing obsession with everything virtual, what with an immediate access to anything online at a flick of a finger. The lack of human interaction is evident, and imminent in creating a generation of people who are unable to communicate face to face, essentially becoming robotized. Also, while the creation/improvement of weaponry has given us the benefit of better self-protection, it has also been the cause of unnecessary violence and thus loss of innocent lives. People take advantage of their possession of such items and use it to threaten and terrorize others, thus creating yet another source of discontent and fear. It also gives people the easy opportunity to solve problems using violence instead of more peaceful alternatives, hence the start of so many wars that could have otherwise been avoided, which in turn only cause massive destruction on many levels.

Does science solve all our problems?
No, we do not agree that science solves all our problems.
Science, despite its benefits, caused more problems to form. Science is also unable to solve all the problems we face.
Nuclear weapons and guns caused many problems to form which include violence and wars which took many innocent lives. Because of nuclear technology, many problems like nuclear poisoning etc have also emerged, claiming lives unnecessarily. Science has not yet been able to solve these problems and also the medical problems that is caused from the aftermath of these weapons.

Due to the advancement of science, the Internet and technological devices were created that although enabled long distance contact, created problems like hindering social relationships. Teenagers often spend hours online each day and rely heavily on their mobile devices which tell them all they need to know, requiring little or no effort to remember important details or talking to people in real life. This caused a drift in relationships and creates a social barrier. Science is not only unable to solve this problem in society but in fact was the creator of the problem.

Does science solve all our problems?

No i do not think science solve all problems instead, i think science create more problems in this world. For example, due to the development of science and technology, poison gas has been created and more nuclear plants have been built over these years. Also, genetically modified food such as injecting certain hormones into chickens sometimes end up creating more problems. Poison gas is not only harmful to human beings but it also contributes to greenhouse effect which affects the ozone layer of the earth and results in erratic climate changes and global warming. It is also now easier for mass killing to occur due to the presence of advanced wartime weapons like nuclear power. Although nuclear weapons are controlled under the United Nations treaty, there are still countries that do not endorse the treaty and they can still use nuclear weapons to threaten other countries which may result in a war, for example, North Korea and Iran. This will not only result in mass killing and mass destruction which will affect the economy and development of the country, but also instil fear in countries as they do not know when these countries with nuclear power might attack them without warning. In addition, innocent lives have been lost due to the advancement of science and technology, such as when bombings and wars occur, many lives have been lost due to these attacks. Lastly, while injecting hormones and other things into animals, they might contain toxics and allergens, which can be harmful to human beings who consume these products. Therefore, science does not solve all our problems but instead create more problems for us.

Does science solve all our problems?

No, with advance technologies, we can practically do everything, from a task as simple as calculation to going to space. However, issues like social disagreements cannot be solve with science. There is discrimination everywhere, an issue of a person's mindset, and science would not be able to change that. Maybe in future, something may be created to set someone's mindset right, but that would just be a cover for the ugly truth behind it. Therefore, science can only create an artificial world at best, and will not be able to solve all problems just by itself.

We do not agree that science can solve all our problems as it would bring about even more problems. Plastic surgery is used to help those who encounter accidents to reassemble their faces. However, plastic surgery is more widely used among people who wish to make themselves look more "perfect". For example, Justin Jedlica, or better known as the "human ken doll", has undergone about 128 surgeries to alter various parts of his body. The high level of silicon and chemicals in his body are unhealthy, and would bring about health risks in the future. Another negative impact that plastic survey has brought about after it has been made available through science, is that it affects people's perception of beauty. It causes the society to view beauty as perfection, and the lack of which means that you are not good enough. For example in brave new world, Bernard Marx has defects even though he is an Alpha, which causes people around him to view him as less than he is. This leads to social discrimination. In conclusion, although science can solve problems, it in turn, causes other problems to arise. Therefore, we do not agree that science can solve all problems.

Does science solve all our problems?

Without a doubt, science is definitely not able to solve all our problems. Science is not able to address the problem of eternal happiness. Happiness, it is in heavy demand by masses of people. It is something we all crave for, for its presence and for it to last forever. However, happiness is subjective and varies from each individual. Undeniably, a large portion of genuine happiness is generated through spending time with the loved ones, like our families and friends. The memories created, and the endless inside jokes are some reasons why the quality time spent together means happiness to many. Happiness is an irreplaceable feeling, not by other feelings an definitely not by science and technology. Research has shown that around 80% of the surveyors think that happiness typically came from spending quality time with loved ones and from good health. Science and technology is unable to create these source of happiness for us, and instead it prevents us from spending quality time with our loved ones. In conclusion, science is unable to solve all our problems, such as the problem of eternal happiness.

I do not agree that science solves all our problems. In today's society, science is able to solve some of the world's problems, like disease and transport. However, science is unable to solve all our problems. These problems include starvation, poverty and crime. These problems require not science, but human character. Selfless people in a caring government can eradicate starvation, poverty and righteous people will prevent crimes from happening. This shows that not all problems can be solved by science but it requires other means, like human character and compassion, to solve them. Science provides statistics regarding our poverty numbers, and it even aids us in rapid growth and efficent production of food such that we, as consumers,  are able to meet our demands and not go hungry. However, that is the limit of science's benefits. Without compassionate and caring humans, competant governments and thoughtful humanitarian organisations, noone is going to do a thing for those in poverty and starvation.Noone would spare a thought for them and distribute food rations, even if they had the means to, provided by science. They would only do so if they have the heart to do it, and as such it all boils down to human interactions, emotions, willingness to embrace others and extend a helping hand to those in need. Science could enlighten you with the understanding and importance of good health through daily exercises and nutritious diets, but the human will is required to abide strictly to the exercises and diets , and this is undoubtably the toughest challenge that men has to overcome without the help of science. Mindsets, human nature, individual habits. These are the traits which define our lives and enables us to solve numerous problems, something which the knowledge of science alone is unable to achieve. In fact, if one were to analyse the origins of science, it would be due to mankind's desire for understanding and improvement of the world and beyond, so we could actually view science as a mere tool in our path towards a better world. Therefore, we do not think Science solves all our problems, rather it is human nature and our compassion and curiosity and perseverance.

Does science solve all our problems?

We personally do not think that science solves all our problems. It is true that science has solved many of the problems that humans face, but at the same time it has caused many new problems as well. Firstly, science, and in turn technology, has, admittedly, allowed us to solve the problem of long distance communication. However it has then caused the issue of people starting to lack in the interaction and social department. What might seem like a social butterfly online is actually just a person who talks to no one else in real life because he or she just stares at his or her phone all day. Secondly, the invention of technology through science has resulted in problems regarding social relations. The overuse of technology may affect the many relations between people. With communicating over social networking sites becoming increasingly easy, many people tend to neglect real time communication. The people of the 21st century become so dependent on technology to communicate that they often miss out on the priceless joys of talking to a loved one or seeing friends face-to-face. As time passes, and the technology field continues to advance rapidly, it will lead to more problems, which could then cause people to attempt to use science to solve them, which in turn then leads to even more issues once again. It is a vicious cycle that cannot be stopped once and for all. There are also many problems that cannot be solved by science, such as people's mindsets and ways of thinking. It can only be changed through other methods, such as human interactions and certain events which people witness, all being experiences that can only be found outside of the screen. Examples are people's mindsets about homosexuals, bisexuals, or transexuals, and racism, which cannot be altered in any way by science and technology. Thus in conclusion, we do not agree that science solves all problems.

Does Science solve all of our problems?

I do not agree that science solves all of our problems because it had created more problems instead. As science and technology gets more advanced, our hand phones are made to be tools that will aid us in making our daily lives more convenient. With the tap of a few buttons, we are able to contact people from all around the world with a call or a short message. We are also able to set alarms, take notes, take photos and access the internet etc. However, although handphones have brought much convenience but at the same time the disadvantages that should not be ignored. Firstly, we are too dependent on our phones causing us to be lazy. Nowadays, 80% of the people we see on the train have their eyes glued to their phone screen. When one loses their phone, they seem to be in trouble because they have all their data stored in it and without it, they are unable to work and do things normally. Without their phone, they seem to be at a lost. Secondly, our social life is affected negatively. People are more used and comfortable to talking to others online although they can sit down and have a chat in real life. People meet up together but most of the time they would still be using their phones. The use of online social media outlets causes us to meet face-to-face with much less frequency resulting in a lack of much needed social skills. We lose the ability to read body language and social cues in other people. Thirdly, new models are constantly out in the market and people are constantly changing phones to keep up with the trends which leads to unnecessary waste of money and resources. Fourthly, some people have no self discipline over the indulgence of phones where they neglect their studies. Lastly, owners who do not take care of their valuables properly and owners with expensive hand phones are more susceptible to be targets of petty theft. Therefore, I do not agree that science solves all of our problems because new problems are always arising even though the old has been solved.

Does science solve all of our problems?

I do not agree that science solves all of our problems but instead, it had created much more other problems. As our lives became easier with science, it resulted in other problems. In Brave New World, the society certainly became much easier to control with human beings being created and genetically modified. However, this modification brought about illnesses, such as lupus, and pain to each created individual. It is also inhumane to decide what caste an individual will be in even before they could make a choice for themselves. They were not given the rights that every human was supposed to have. Therefore, with the creation of science, humanity was sacrificed, and pain was brought to each individual. Not only does it cause further problems in the novel itself, but science had indeed brought about problems in our real world while solving other problems. Examples would be the invention of chlorofluorocarbons. They indeed make great hair sprays, but at the same time, it did damage to our ozone layer, which blocks out the harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. It did make our lives easier, but it did harm to our planet. Therefore, in conclusion, science does do great things by solving our daily problems but it had brought about unforeseen problems that might do greater harm to us thus science do not solve all of our problems, but instead creates much more other problems.

Does science solve all our problems?

In the past centuries, there have been many scientists that have discovered astonishing things that shocked the science world and opened a new page for them, however, with these advantages, we're still behind the natural cycle that was born with us, death. Death is predominantly the thing that everyone wants to avoid making contact with. For example, people with terminal cancer would try to survive as long as they could but in the end, even with the medications that they took, they still die. Although medications elongated their lifespan but it never solve death. It could not heal the person fully. Even when they are only in the first stage of cancer which increases the chances of being healed fully , there is always a chance where the cancer might hit them again after they have recovered. So in this case, science does not solve all our problems.
