In our opinion, the idea of a soulmate is useful in the psychological aspect of our well being. In contrast, the book describes "The past ..Family, monogamy, romance. But now every one belongs to everyone else" This suggests that soulmates are outdated or unncessary However we disagree and believe that one's emotional and psychological health is a correlated to an individual's performance in other life aspects such as work and school. Research conducted by Martin Seligman, who later went on to give a presentation based on his finding, concluded that positive relationships are important to positive psychology. Soul mates bring each other up, and help each other to grow by having a positive and intimate relationship with each other, while also having each other's best interests at heart. They offer comfort when their other half is grieving or in pain and push them back on their feet. Having two people share a particularly deep and meaningful connection is simply a rare, strong bond gives both parties a constant source of reassurance and support which gives them motivation and strength to perform in other aspects. Notably, many successful figures depend on their soul mates for the exact sources of connection mentioned. Such an example would be President Obama, who has related his success to the woman behind his back, Michelle Obama's support. In conclusion, it is evident that the idea of a soulmate is definitely a useful one as it is beneficial even in non-psychologically related aspects of life, giving us a value and meaning to our life.
