1. Short Para About Video 

The video talks about the past the present and the future. Firstly, in the past, there was no technology and limited communication, causing the productivity to be very low. Secondly, the video tells us that the future is unpredictable, and they used the example of the internet. 20 years ago, nobody predicted that the internet will be a universally used platform, but it is now and there is no way to predict what will happen 20 years in future just as they were unable to predict what would have happened 20 years ago today. Thirdly, the current standard of work and communication is very different from the past. Work used to be just a place, where communication was only allowed through very limited means, however today, project teams are able to work together from any areas of the world. Fourthly, the video tells us that the future will be very competitive, as everyone fighting to achieve the jobs they want, and just having a degree in that field is not enough to proof one's skills anymore. Lastly, innovation is very important in the future, one's uniqueness can put them apart from the others. This means one is not guaranteed a lifetime career, because if you lose out and lag behind, it is very hard to climb back up.

2. Paragraph Response 

We feel that the European education system best prepares the students for the work of the future in the aspect of a flat workforce in the future. The work of the future will be a workforce whereby people from all over the world will be able to work together on a common platform without being in the same place. In the European education system, online learning has increased from 45,000 enrollments in 2000 to roughly 1 million in 2007, and shows signs of continuing to grow at an even more rapid pace. It is extremely common to have students engaging in online learning, some of the students are even attending online schools. In the past, schools is European societies used to be a place where all students gather to study together. Now, students are able to do the same online, in their own homes from different parts of the country. This method of schooling is the way that the work in the future will function. This will be able to prepare students adequately for the work in the future and will be comfortable in learning or working in this kind of a work environment as they are already suited for it. The transition from school life to working life is very smooth and the students would be able to adapt quickly to the work in the future. However, in Asian education systems, online schooling is still a very abstract concept. Most students still choose to study in the conventional ways in schools. Asian students will find it hard to adapt to the work in the future as they are not ready for it and has not experience such a working environments. As such, European students are at a higher advantage compared to their Asian counterparts due to their education systems. Hence, we feel that the European education system best prepares the students for the work of the future in the aspect of a flat workforce in the future.
